JEDDAH: Taif police arrested two youths for kidnapping a teacher and stripping off his clothes and clicking his photographs and robbing him of SR20,000 a day before his wedding at Al-Quraie Bani Malik in southern Taif recently, a source said.
Police are also questioning the man’s fiancée for her role in instigating the youths (21 and 27 years) to commit the outrage.
The man, (48) belonging to Baha said he travelled to Al-Quraie at the request of his fiancée who is residing in that town. But on his arrival at the town, two masked men stopped his car and asked him to get down claiming that they were mabaheth officers (special investigators), Sabq online newspaper reported.
They checked the car and took SR20,000 he had kept in it. They handcuffed him and drove him to a desert location where he was undressed and photographed naked, according to what he told later to police.
After that, the two put him in his car and ordered him to go to the Quraie police station where they claimed to be working. It is only when he went to the police station and told his story to the officers that he learned that he was trapped and cheated by his fiancée and her accomplices.
On his complaint police launched an investigation. The fiancée denied of any knowledge to the incident or requesting her fiancé to come to her place. However, on further investigation, the police suspected two brothers as the perpetrators of the crime. But the brothers denied of any involvement in the crime but pointed to two other youths who carried out the whole act. On detailed interrogation, the two youths confessed to their committing the crime. But they also confessed that they committed the crime in collusion with the fiancée who hated to marry the Baha teacher.
Police have detained her at the Makkah Home for Girls in order to complete the investigation procedures, the source said.
